Background

In one of the production lines of Qingdao Xiechuang Electronics Co., Ltd., the speed display panel inside the dashboard of a car need to be gripped for unloading. But most of the speed display panels in cars are made of plastic, so the surface is easily scratched.

 

Challenge

As the production line is adapted to the size of the previously produced speed display panel, the continued use of the tooling suction cups and rigid grippers in the original solution for unloading would have tended to cause damage and distortion to the panel.

Solution

The SRT's flexible grippers ensure that the product is not scratched during unloading. Furthermore, the pneumatic control system of the grippers regulates the force when gripping the display panel to avoid deformation.

With the SRT flexible grippers, the problem of products being easily scratched and deformed during loading has been solved, resulting in a 15% increase in overall yield.
